The town of Dorgali is an essential spot for most visitors to Cala Gonone since you drive through it on the way to Cala Gonone and it provides most of the shops and supermarkets (certainly ones with more extensive opening times). It also has its own crag, which is a bonus, especially since it faces west, giving sun or shade at opposite ends of the day to many of the other venues.
