Reconco is a superb crag with a good range of middle grade routes on perfect, slabby rock. It is beautifully situated on a hillside above a pleasant rural valley and is easy to find. The only slight drawback is its distance from the main accommodation spots but stick to the motorway and you'll get there surprisingly quickly. As a venue it makes a superb alternative to the popular and polished areas at Toix and Sella with a similar grade range and and significantly less routes that have been battered to death. Most of the routes are long single pitches, although there are some two pitch routes on the right-hand side which are particularly good. All the routes are clean and well-equipped but the rock is a bit sharp and taxing on the skin. Route finding shouldn't be a problem as the names and grades are stamped on tags on many of the first bolts.
