Around the old town of Orihuela and its satellite of Redovan are a series of rugged red hills that despite appearances to the contrary contain much good climbing. From the classic multi-pitch offerings on the Pared Negra to the short steep sport routes near the Cueva Ahumada there is much here to interest the passing climber.
