FRAGUEL

The stunning crag of Fraguel has the best hard sport climbing on the island and attracts climbers from all over the world. It is located in a beautiful wooded valley near the town of Bunyola, and is hidden from almost every direction, including the one used to approach the crag. The first time you make the complex approach walk, the sheer presence of the crag can be quite daunting. Its central section is formed of leaning, smooth, peach-coloured waves of rock, streaming with tufas and littered with pockets of all dimensions - all just meant to be climbed. If you like tufa pulling, then there is a good chance that the majority of your holiday maybe spent here. However, even if you turn cold at the mention of the word 'tufa' there may still be something here for you since the edges of the crag lean back to give some vertical walls, with some excellent fingery routes from 6a upwards.
