The Bølgen Area offers long and generally straightforward slabby ice climbs. In between there are a couple of astounding and desperate climbs. "The Crag" offers three pitches of high difficulty, and there is plenty of opportunity for new additions. Due to the length of the climbs, and the setting in an open area, this place offers a magnificent view of the whole of the Rjukan valley.
