One of Yorkshire's finest gritstone cliffs, though its rather remote setting, coupled to its altitude and aspect, means the place doesn't always see the traffic it really deserves. Earl Crag takes the form of a series of interesting buttresses that look northwards, below the twin monuments of Lund's Tower and Wainman's Pinnacle, out towards the upper Aire valley and on to Skipton.
