Highcliff Nab sits in a splendid position just to the south of Guisborough. The outward views from the cliff are superb with the North York Moors rolling away to the west and the south, whereas to the north and east, the distant conurbation of Teesside and the North Sea fill the horizon. The felling of the trees that used to grow close to the base of the crag have made conditions here much more pleasant than they used to be, the breeze tends to keep the midges away now.
