This complex area is remarkable for its plethora of walls, caves and buttresses, many of which give excellent and relatively safe solos, with very few routes venturing higher than fourteen metres. It has the added attraction that almost all the approaches are by way of easy down-climbs or scrambles, so you can leave your ropes in the car. Unlike many of the other areas in Pembroke, the Lystep area is not affected by seasonal bird bans or the movements of the army - now you just have the tides to worry about!
