The brooding nature of the Blackchurch's northerly aspect, green tinge of vegetation and its soaring multi-pitch lines of less than perfect rock will repulse most and work as a magnetic draw to a few. In contrast the foreshore pinnacle of Blackchurch Rock itself is a haven of solid rock on its seaward face and is home to some classic pitches that should not be missed.
