Cornakey Cliff is composed of a series of overlapping slabs of generally poor rock. The situation is serious and the rock on the main attraction of the crag, Wrecker's Slab, needs an experienced leader for it to be climbed in relative safety. The two shorter climbs are on good rock and are excellent pitches in their own right.
