Flimston Bay at the Stack Rocks end of Range East in Pembroke

It is anticipated, but not yet confirmed, that the Range East will be fully open for the whole of August as in previous years allowing access to all routes from Stack Rocks car park eastwards, at all times.

Range West is a more serious business. There’s live unexploded bombs and other ordnance literally lying about on the ground. Access to this part of the range is only available to climbers who have attended the annual safety briefing. The dates for these this year are Saturday June 2nd, Saturday June 23rd and July 28th. All of the briefings are at the Castlemartin Army Camp, post code SA72 6DY. All climbers need to be at the camp gates in time for the prompt start at 9am.

Bird Nesting Restrictions
There are a number of new restrictions in place this year please check the BMC database for specific routes.

I can confirm that Range East and West will be open for climbing throughout August. Also it has recently been agreed that Range West will be open to briefed climbers at non-firing times for 12 months of the year.
