Barcelona is well known as a popular city-break destination, with a continuous influx of visitors from all over Europe. It is Spain's 2nd largest city - always buzzing and where a vibrant and cosmopolitan scene flourishes - 24 hours a day. Inevitably the place has its fair share of climbers and also has access to an unfair amount of superb rock. Within a day's driving distance of the city are such major venues as Montserrat, Villanova de Meia and Terradets. Nearer to home is a lesser (but still well worthwhile) set of cliffs hidden in the rolling limestone hills that rise up to the south of Barcelona, seven of the more interesting of these are described in this MiniGuide.

USER REVIEWS
"Interesting you should pick out Gelida, a major crag near a major city and the info available at the time of our visits was pitiful. "
