The arete is tackled precariously on its right-hand side. Bold laybacking, but sadly (or fortunately) escapable.

A nerve-wracking experience. I flashed this solo after watching two mates top-rope it and I'm really glad I saw them do it first! Mind you this didn't stop me nearly fluffing the final hard move to the horizontal crack under the big block at the top of the arete. Probably the most scared I've ever been in my life but so worth it.

It didn't seem very escapable from about half-way up, but I was probably too scared to notice anyway.
