Classic fingery flowstone followed by a forearm destroying upper wall. Start just right of an orange streak.
Juggy initial moves quickly access a fingery and technical wall which ends at a small ledge, and a shake out. Climb the pumpy upper wall to a sting in the tail.

best 7a+ in the country?
Toby - 02/Aug/05

Solid 7b
Needlespoon - 20/Jul/07

Bog standard 7a+. Nice route, but you need to go to Chapel Head Scar for the best 7a+ in the country.
Tom - 21/Jul/08

Brilliant, just brilliant.
If this is 7a+ then Barney Rubble is 7a tops... i'd say bench mark 7b, the dartmoor guide has got it right.
Paul Edwards - 06/May/09

Great no-hands rest mid-route if you're cunning...
Chris Jones - 05/Sep/09

This is not 7b. Empire is 7b. This is hard 7a+.
MR D HAMILTON - 22/Jun/10

Sorry Mr H I disagree I did empire second go and thought it was a path once you knew the moves. This is more technical and in my opinion more difficult as well as better.
