Adjacent Routes The centre of the slab is a lovely outing. A classic in a beautiful location. USER COMMENTS
Why were routes on this slab bolted? They were climbed with traditional gear and there's enough other rock to bolt without retro bolting
They were bolted by keen activists who knew nothing of the trad lines and they are now very popular. It doesn't excuse it, and popularity is not always a justification for bolting, but I think it is wrong to say there is plenty of other rock to bolt, certainly at this grade there isn't.
Although the arete rocks! This route is even better supberb climbing in a grat location
Did this route on a glorious day, fantastic surroundings and very pleasent climbing, nothing surprising here.
Gorgeous route, on gorgeous rock, on a very sunny April day - it was just like climbing in the Costa Blanca. I'm so pleased more climbs at the easier end of the scale are being bolted on Portland. I'm getting more confident by the week - especially with routes like this one!
Another great route for both beginners and experienced climbers. Stunning location. Worthy of 3 stars.
Good effort bolting this up
A "must do climb", Well worth the strenuous walk down, terrific views from the top, take a camera!
Very nice climb, ballancy and was undergraded at VDiff as a trad climb. I think more of a 3+. Let's boplt all the easy routes on the island. I'm willing to bet all the poeple who take trad racks to proltand now, prolly don't climb anything less than e1
Fantastic, but then I like this sort of thing. Where are the 6a slab routes?
Excellent route, a must do climb if you are in the area even if you climb higher grades. A bit over protected, try using every other bolt for a bit of run out (and fun!)
Seemed a bit delicate for a 3. Then again, it was raining.
Fantastic! Beginners will love this. I should know; I am one.
very nice route great for first timers and i agree more lower grades should be bolted to help boost beginners confidence. |
