Start in a cave and climb out along the left wall. Pull around into a crack and follow this into a scoop. The groove above leads to the lower-off.

a bit dirty at present, the rock is a bit crusty.

Did it in the shade after rain - maybe better when in full sunshine?
Steve T - 31/May/00

Very snappy and dusty - hopefully this will clean up with traffic over time...
JIMBO - 03/Jun/00

clearly not, 3 years on and it's still loose and dusty. Best avoided unless you're looking for a comic adventure experience.
flapper - 13/Jul/03

I think Steve (Flapper) has got the wrong route - his comments should apply to Californian Dreams (or was the experience *that* surreal...)
Nic - 14/Jul/03

indeed, sorry guys, I meant Californian Dreams.
flapper - 14/Jul/03

hopefully the next set of topos will clear up the ambiguity. this whole sector can be dusty early season (like blacknor central) see roackfall grip 89. Coastgoard is not about perfect rock its about wild bolt routes from tidal platforms, otherwise f**k back to battleship

Good warm-up, like most here, feels a little dusty but doesn't detract from the climbing - it is an adventure after all :)
