<< The Grapevine < Lyme Cryme | Robert Brown > Ariadne's Thread >>
An interesting addition which, despite its eliminate nature, deserves more attention than it receives. Pitch 2 makes a good but hard variant on Lyme Cryme.
1) 6b, 25m. Start up the groove left of Robert Brown. From the peg, trend left (bold) to the break. Make a sustained sequence over the bulge and left to join Lyme Cryme; delicate and perfectly protected. Belay as for Lyme Cryme.
2) 6b, 33m. Follow Brown Donkeys (page 350 ) to the bong then continue to the twin bolts above and right (good small cam up and left of the left-hand bolt as back up). Desperate moves upwards (avoiding the easier detour up the flake on the right) enable you to reach the roof (peg). Finish more easily above.
FA. Andy Grondowski, Mark Elwell 1981. The name refers to a medicine given to the terminally ill.
