The awkward corner in the left-hand edge of the recess is worthwhile. Avoid stepping right if you want the full tick.


Rightly popular (especially with outdoor groups) as it gives a fairly long, sustained route which is odd to have been singled out as being "gritty". Also just right is an independant line on twin cracks (HVD?) which deserves seperate route status. This is even better but with a more obvious crux sequence just above the overlap.

A really good first lead - if only the toproping hordes would leave it alone so that it can be enjoyed this way.

a nice climb but not too much for the belay at the top. Big hex or cam needed

Easy, well protected, slab climbing, a great first lead. Take some big stuff for the top belay
