To the right of the magnificent rock of Pichenibule is a broad sweep of slabs named after its most popular route - Les Dalles Grises. Despite the scattering of shrubs and some patches of loose rock, the routes here are immensely popular and log-jams are not uncommon, on the climbs themselves and more especially on the abseil route in. Queues are to be expected at almost any time of the year; arrive early or get in line! It is worth noting that the line of the abseil goes through some loose ground, meaning that extra care must be taken not to pull rocks onto those below, and not to be hit by rocks from above! The routes start from the large tree-covered ledge of the Jardin des Ecureuils which is reached by four longish abseils.
