The most popular buttress on the cliff and with good reasons. It is the tallest piece of rock here and the majority of the climbs are well worth doing. High Buttress Arete is one of the Peak's better Diffs and a great introduction to the cliff on whichever end of the rope. The routes around the geological curio of the Footprint are also well worth seeking out.
