GR.221124 460m N facing If you take a slightly more modern view on winter climbing conditions, Gillercombe is probably in condition more often than it is given credit for. With this in mind the crag offers great potential for more harder mixed lines. The Classic summer line of Gillercombe Buttress gives a brilliant mixed outing. Approach: Either park at Honister and and after a short steep climb, contour into the crag. Or park at Seathwaite and go up the side of Sourmilk Gill. In good conditions you may be able to approach by climbing Sourmilk Gill. Descent: Go down the broad gully on the Right hand side of the crag
