To the west of the tiny resort of Pendine, and its famous expanse of sand, is an excellent little sport cliff which has some of the area's best routes. The rock is excellent, the lines appealing and the location fabulous, however your approach needs careful planning to ensure that you squeeze the most out of a visit. The left-hand crag, known as Dark Side, is a long wall covered with narrow overhangs. It has plenty of quality climbing in the 7s. The right-hand Platform Cliff is taller but less steep and has numerous grade 6s that tackle some fine grooves, thin cracks, overlaps and steep slabs.
