The annual nesting birds protection access restrictions are in place and they affect a small number of bouldering areas as follows:

Swarthbeck Gill / Raven's Crag, Ullswater - to 31st May

Gouther Crag, Swindale - Peregrine Boulder - to 30th June

St. Bees Far South Boulders - South of Fisherman's Steps / "Fishermans Dyno Boulder" - to 31st July

St. Bees Head South - sectors beyond "Cryptozoo" and the cliff top access path - to 31st July

Although there is a restriction affecting the crag in Wallowbarrow Gorge (Duddon Valley) the boulders are unaffected.

If you disturb nesting birds at any other site please leave the area asap and post on this thread.

In reply to Trevor Langhorne:

Update.

Gouther Crag (Swindale) has now been checked and there was no sign of nesting Peregrine Falcons so the Peregrine Boulder is open for business as usual.
