Hi,

This photo is from BlocHaus in Manchester: https://matting.coreclimbing.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/MancBloc-14-1...

What other bouldering gyms in the UK have such a long, sloped section with matting underneath that follows along with the wall/route?

Preferably in the wider Leeds area but interested in other regions too.

Looking for anything that is vaguely similar to the above.

Thanks!

not in any way Leeds but Flashpoint Swindon has one (your link doesn't work for me but I imagine that this is what you are talking about)

Colchester Climbing Project has a long roof tunnel like that where the matt and the wall stay parallel.

I think the image works if one just presses F5 (Refresh) again after the "this has been hotlinked" shows. It is the second image here https://matting.coreclimbing.co.uk/?p=287 and yes you are absolutely correct, that is precisely what I meant!

Thank you very much everyone for all the answer so far, this is great!

The Beacon in N Wales certainly used to have one, no idea if it's still there as I haven't visited for 3-4 years.

In reply to spenser:

Afraid to report it has gone. There are still some longer roof sections, but not quite like OP is after

In reply to ATL:

I reckon he wants to climb on one,

Could be wrong.

Red Spider in Fareham does, and Arch Building One in London has a really long sloping tunnel/cave https://twitter.com/archclimbing/status/654236246810738689?lang=en-GB
