Looking for local knowledge...

I'm staying near Exeter for a month and was excited to visit Bovey Woods for the first time. But the weather forecast shows rain for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks : /

How long after rain does it take for the boulders to dry up? Hours or days?

Would heading to Dartmoor be a better option. I'm pretty sure I've climbed at Bonehill during the rain

Bovey is comparatively sheltered so it takes a while dry out. Bonehill, Hound Tor, Saddle Tor etc will all dry out much faster as they get blasted by the wind.

That's what I figured, getting blasted by the wind on the moor it is!
