I'm visiting worksop area for work commitments from next week. Was going to visit anston stone wood. Does anyone know how much seepage the crag can take,  thinking of heading too Frodo area. Or any other recommendations for crags locally that can take a bit of rain as the weather is forecast to be currently showery

Cheers,

Matt

I wouldn't worry about seepage on any of the Mag lime crags at the moment, it's been so dry it will take more than a few showers to have any effect. Ive climbed at Anston, Roche Abbey and Pleasly in the rain this time of year, the steepness keeps them pretty sheltered. High humidity however can be an issue sometimes if its warm, wet and not much breeze. Occasionally you might get the odd damp pocket, but limestone bouldering is minging anyway.

Maybe avoid Apprentice Wall at Anston Stones.... you could end up prosecuted.

Have you considered The P: quick access and in the shade.

I climbed at Frodo last week and it was dry. Even Dukes Buttress which is often soaked was climbable!

Sweet cheers for the info guys

I was at Anston last weekend and quite a few climbs (Colt, The End and a few more) were suffering from seepage.  …which was strange, considering the lack of rain.
