We were hoping to get out bouldering on Sunday but it is looking very windy with north west gust of 45mph. Can anyone recommend a Peak District venue that would be sheltered from these winds?

Turningstone Edge?
(But check the access notes - the approach has changed and the walk-in described in the current Froggatt definitive guide shouldn't be followed now.)

Edit: that link says 'Turningstone Edge', but I was actually thinking more of Cocking Tor.  (You could easily explore both in one visit.)

In the Western Peak Ramshaw, Baldstones, Gib Tor will provide options sheltered from strong Westerly winds.

If everything gets wet Saturday pm/eve you might want somewhere windy so it dries faster on Sunday.  There are so many places with different aspects so close to each other you'll usually find something dry without too much searching.

Cheers for the tips. We'll see what we can find
