Shout out to Kim. Was up at Count's Buttress this afternoon and saw at least two ring ouzels (I think). Didn't see them in and out of the cracks but guessing they're looking for a nest site. One of them landed about 5m away from me on a big boulder. Closest I've ever seen one.

One showing well at the Rusty Wall area last week as well.

Thanks both. Yes they're back but only just starting to arrive really, so probably not quite at nesting stage yet. Second week in April is the earliest we tend to see nests. I saw a female at Count's yesterday too, it sounded like there was a second bird around so hopefully a pair. The female is one of our returning colour ringed birds, I think she bred in Burbage last year.
