I found it a bit meh; entertaining enough but could have been much better. Not really sure what the point of the daughter character was, and the ending was beyond daft (even considering the premise of the film).
> Army of the Dead was OK, but IMHO not a patch on Resident Evil: Extinction.
> Too much characterisation, not enough gratuitous zombie shooting and no Mila Jovovitch.
Damn, I'm always hoping for something as good as Resident Evil...the wait (probably) continues!
I'll give Army of the Dead a go though as I'm desperate for something as counterpoint to The Great British Sewing Bee (why do I like this so much??? What is happening to me?!)
I watched it with another zombie film fan, hes 60 im 38, we both thought it was quite poor (as does IMDB). It lacked in flow and the characters were dull.
Struggled a bit with it. However Netflix have thrown The Winx Saga, Shadow and Bone, and Ragnarok (in Norwegian) my way and I’m grateful. I’m a sucker for coming of age drama without North American accents.
Bit annoyed by the closing scenes... We've cleared our way to the top of the casino, the chopper is fired up and ready to lift off... Let's have our heart to heart speech now rather than when we're safely in the air, yeah? It's not like something nasty is going to burst through that door and grab us is it?
Apart from that, an enjoyable movie to while away a couple of hours I suppose. Meh

30 seconds to a nuclear warhead landing on your bonce is the perfect time to stop for a chat.
It's a film you can enjoy for what it is. A weak and predictable story with a few funny bits.
