Hello, o great hive mind,

I'm looking for a book recommendation, maybe you can think of something that would fit the bill. I'm after a few words about first aid, expedition and wilderness medicine, mountaineering accidents, that general sort of thing, from a mountain rescue perspective. Ideally written in such a way that even a simpleton like me can understand it without shying too far away from the specific medical details, and with a style light enough to read in the bath after a long day, but still dealing with some nice gritty, heavy subject material.

Does such a book exist?

I'm all ears (and eyes).

Thanks, team.

That's a great start, not from a mountain rescue perspective obviously, but it sounds like a bloody useful book in its own right anyway.

Thanks for that.
