Hi. Thinking to head there tomorrow Fri 4th. Anyone who knows the crag well or who has been there today...any ideas what it might be like tomorrow in terms of seepage, dry lines etc? As a back up, if lots of it is wet we're thinking we might swap to trad and go to Trowbarrow...again anyone know it well who could suggest how dry it might be?
Trowbarrow should be dry. Chapel Head probably mostly dry with a few bits of seepage. Obvs all a guess, but Weds was very wet, Thurs was lovely weather, warm and breezy, forecast is a touch of rain in the night then sun and cloud. Trowbarrow dries rapidly. But it will certainly rain unless Kendal Wall has sufficient climbers inside, who can look out at the sunshine and curse their decision. Enjoy!
Thanks. Yeh it was a lovely day, especially pm. Stayed at Chapel Head. Phantom Zone, which was my intended project, was seeping as was my partner's intended line. Lots at right hand end also seeping. However, did Moonchild, Bleep and Booster (damp start but totally dry after bolt 2) War Hero (totally dry) and Combat Plumber (dry enough). Si, had a good day and a good workout. Hope you enjoyed the day too.
