I know dogs generally aren’t welcome in UK mountaineering huts and I fully understand why - there’s a humongous thread about this already so let’s not get into that.

I’ve been told some huts and bothies do allow well behaved dogs though. Does anyone know where these elusive places are?

I don't think it's quite right to say dogs aren't welcome in huts

Club huts will normally list it in the details of the hut, MS affiliated club huts can befound here

https://www.mountaineering.scot/huts

Bothies are normally fine for dogs, any exceptions tend to be more due to the estate not wanting poorly behaved dogs terrorising the local wildlife!  Again, any restrictions are typically noted in the details of the bothy notes.

Normal proviso for dogs in shared areas apply.

Enjoy!
