Is there anywhere near the old dungeon gill to lock up a bike? Thinking of doing some trips into the hills from there and it would make it much more pleasant!

Never seen anything official for bikes but I'm sure if you ask nicely in the hotel or bar you could probably leave it round the back, i have emailed them before about other matters and they seem pretty accomodating

Plenty of not-too-enormous trees around the New Dungeon Ghyll and Stickle Ghyll car parks.

For future reference:
There are bike rails on the other side of the road fro the new dungeon ghyll, and there is a good range of tree sizes in the New Dunegon and Stickly ghyll car parks (as mentioned above) depending on your bike-lock length.
