Can anyone recommend me a nice campsite on the Northumberland coast? Somewhere on the stretch between the Holy Isle and Alnmouth. Preferably not a massive holiday park and definitely near a nice pub although I suspect options will be limited by what's open mid Feb.

Thanks

We camped at Beal Campsite (its part of The Barn at Beal) which is open all year. Nice enough, no complaints. Good showers, clean facilities, plenty of them as well, everyone seemed friendly, easy enough to get to from the main road. Only slight negative (maybe?) is that you can't park your car next to your tent - but the car park is close enough it wasn't an issue.

We didn't go in / use the Barn restaurant, but it was certainly looked quite busy & nice inside. We did frequent the Lindisfane Inn (about a mile up the road) which was very nice.

We ended up at http://www.fordbridgecampsite.co.uk/ in November (not too far from the Kyloes). There seem to be fewer and fewer actual camp sites open all year, rather than motorhome parks.

That looks nice but they don't seem to be open.

Well there really does seem to be nowhere open or available!

Beal seems to be open, their online booking certainly thinks so.

Yes, even https://www.budlebaycampsite.co.uk/ seems to be shut in Feb.

No availability the days we're going unfortunately.

We've binned the Northumberland plan and are just going elsewhere.
