Security on windows 11

Daughter has just bought a new laptop, does she need additional security or is stuff built into W11 sufficient?

The built-in stuff is fine.  MS Defender AV has come a long way since the old days!

(Just remind her to leave it on and connected to the internet fairly regularly, so it can sort out its updates.  Probably not an issue for a member of The Youth, though: more something I have to remind my older aquaintances of!)

Use duckduckgo for Internet and Ghostery for extra protection.

There's a good chance there's some AV installed that will require a subscription after a month. That will have to be removed then use the MS AV.
