The BMC is running a Mental Health and the Outdoors Training Weekend on the 12th and 13th November at Plas Y Brenin in North Wales.
You can sign up for one or both days and can choose from different morning and afternoon sessions. Each day will give one point towards CPD for members of the Mountain Training Association.
The workshops available during the weekend are:
Anxiety and management strategies in the outdoors with Dr Rebecca Ranstead
An introduction to mental health first aid with Dr Samantha McElligott
Mental health services and social prescribing with Graeme Hill
Case study looking at Climbing Alongside Mental Health with Black Dog Outdoors
Psychology of injuries with Louise Hall
Mental health first aid refresher (not certified) with Dr Samantha McElligott
Safe caring with Nick Colton
Lunch, cake, teas and coffees will be included on the day.
You will need to arrange your own accommodation in the area.
