Hi, I'm down for a subscapularis repair and possible biceps tenotomy or tenodesis. Anyone undergone this and have any comments on success and time until being able to climb VDiff, VS and then harder. All thoughts welcomed. Thanks.
The reason for asking is that I have a series of alpine trips planned this summer, with mainly easier climbing, so hoping I will not have to let others down.
I went through exactly that; subscap repair (with titanium screws), and a bicep tenodesis. Starting from an pre-op E2/3ish level it was 3mths until I was moving around the mountains carefully and 5mths for climbing VSish. 12mths to be back at the pre-op level and thereafter no limitations from the surgery. The operated shoulder has been stronger and more stable than the other one. Good luck!
