Yes we went 2 years ago. An awesome area. We did a similar itinerary, had to descend to the east as bad weather prevented final descent into sulden but taxi back round was very resonable. Lots of peaks to go at and lovely huts.
A good touring area. Pizzini, Marteller and Branca huts are all nice, the latter two even had hot showers available. There are several peaks around 3,500m accessible from the Branca hut so worth staying there a couple of days. We accessed from the Italian side (road head at Forni hut - had to walk there from the town as no buses and no one would give us a lift!).
I don’t recall any particular issues coming down from the Col next to Mont Pasquale. This was about 5 years ago. There were impressive wet snow slides above the Branca hut in the late afternoon, cutting across the trail to Palon de la Mare etc, so usual rules re early starts apply.
