Hello! Anyone got any recommendations or advice for finding crash pads to rent in the Malhamdale or Skipton area? Hoping to get in some visits to crags in the area while staying in Airton.

Alpkit in Skipton would be the only option I can think of.

I live just outside skipton and don't know anywhere. Also don't think that there is an alpikit in skipton. Is one in ilkley but dont know anything about pad hire

Ilkley alpkit hires pads.

I'd ring up to check. It said bike hire on their website, we rang up, they said yep, and then we turned up and they didn't seem to have any bikes to hire, and the person at the store was was annoyed with the website! Hopefully pads is more successful!

The consensus seems to be Alpkit only!! Many thanks for the help and I'll try get down there today or tomorrow. Cheers!

When are you visiting? I’m in Skipton and could probably spare a few pads for a bit if the timing is right.
